Since inception of the Fund in 1999 to end December 2023, The Fund has disbursed some R668 million to seventeen university departments providing mining and minerals education and in so doing,
has been a key factor in the continued provision of high quality undergraduate tertiary minerals education in South Africa
ensured a continued pipeline of high quality graduates to the industry
contributed to the ongoing sustainability of the SouthAfrican mining and minerals industry.
